In September 2021, the 144-year-old firm Shepley Bulfinch appointed Angela Watson, FAIA, as its new president and CEO. A long-time firm principal, design leader, and board chair based in Phoenix, Watson replaced Carole Wedge, FAIA, who had held the firm’s top executive role since 2004. Wedge, who is based in the Shepley Bulfinch Boston office and now holds the title of principal, talked about speaking up in the profession in ARCHITECT podcast episode 32.
