Following the announcement of its 2023 Regional & Urban Design Award winners, The American Institute of Architects introduced the winners of its 2023 Interior Architecture Awards, recognizing eight projects that “celebrate the most innovative interior spaces,” according to a press release from the organization. This year’s class of honorees—all projects located in the United States—were evaluated “based on design achievement, including sense of place and purpose, community access, ecology and environmental sustainability, and history,” continues the release.
The jury for the 2023 Interior Architecture Awards comprised chair Rudabeh Pakravan, AIA, Sidell Pakravan in Berkeley, Calif.; Rebecca Brady, AIA, Clark Nexsen in Virginia Beach, Va.; Joyce Selina Love, AIA, DesignLoveStudio in Memphis, Tenn.; Alejandra Menchaca, Thornton Tomasetti in Boston; and Melanie Ray, AIA, Hord Coplan Macht in Baltimore.
