A $1 billion luxury skyscraper set to open in 2020 will include a first-of-its-kind amenity for Chicago condo owners: a car-share program featuring Tesla vehicles.

Conveniently located in the tower’s private garage, the vehicles will be available for homeowners to schedule for use easily with an app. The service will provide an alternative method of transportation for residents to use to travel beyond the local community, says Leila Zammatta, senior vice president of sales for the project’s developer, Magellan Development Group.

“Vista’s location provides residents with direct access to the city’s premier attractions, from the lakefront to top restaurants, entertainment, and beyond—all within walking distance,” says Zammatta.

The car-share program is an addition to an already extensive array of amenities scheduled for the property, including a fitness room, golf simulator, outdoor pool deck, theater, wine tasting room, and private dining suite with demonstration kitchen.

Located on Upper Wacker Drive at the intersection of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, Vista Residences will rise above its Lakeshore East neighborhood. Designed by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang, the 101-story high-rise will become the third-tallest building in Chicago.
