Project Description

Corporate GM is located on the western area of Guadalajara, where it occupies a 5,511 square feet offi¬ce in a corporate building.
The project proposal represents an alliance between the facade, the columns and the general distribution of the space. Intertwine architectural planes help the flow of various spaces, which guide people through the offi¬ces. The furniture was specially designed to provide special character to each work area in harmony with the columns.
As the elevator doors open, clients are welcomed by a transparent meeting room, as a symbolic gesture for open dialog; the space receives us without words and unobserved. The receiving area, naturally guides us to the reception, where the main piece of furniture, with its lithic presence, allow us to intuit the natural sequence of spaces that will follow. Large dividing glasses, seem to intersect each other, leaving vast spaces for free circulation, to provide access to the general working area.
In the case of offi¬ces, privacy is resolved to the limit of fragility, achieved thanks to the rolling shades, which allow natural light to become protagonist by filtering light to the central working areas.
The circular plan of the building and the structural columns were essential points to the project proposal, since the distribution was planned so that the columns would function to organize into a hierarchy and balance all the spaces. These columns are presented in different conditions, always maintaining their free character, where the result is absolutely different in each situation.
The two main offi¬ces are kept further away from the reception with the intention to provide more privacy. One of them is connected to the board room.
The distribution was designed to conform to the round shape of the building, to maximize the interior spaces and permitting natural light into the central work areas.
The materiality in each and every o¬ffice maintained a simple and natural palette with well-defined applications, where the materials enhance their natural qualities. It is thanks to these qualities that the materials transmit us a formal and relaxed message at the same time.
