Project Description

This family in Herndon wanted more useable space to fit their lifestyle. We remodeled their kitchen and opened it up into a new addition that served as a family room on one end and a playroom on the other.

The homeowners wanted a transitional design for their kitchen. This look was achieved by incorporating some traditional elements like shaker cabinets and a neutral granite countertop with more modern elements like the stacked tile backsplash and stainless finishes. The stained-glass pendants personalize the space. The custom designed cabinetry with specialty drawers and racks, floor to ceiling reach in pantry and end panels take advantage of every inch of space.

The breakfast bar flows into a new addition that was added to include a family room and a playroom for the children. The refinished floors on the entire first floor and deep blue feature walls in the family and dining room tie the entire space together.

This family now has space for all of their needs, including a dedicated area for the children’s home schooling and plenty of room for entertaining.
