AIA Names 2020 Housing Award Winners

AIA has announced the winners of its 2020 Housing Awards, recognizing seven designs that embody “the best in housing design for new construction, renovations and restorations,” according to an AIA press release. Now in its 20th year, the award recognizes projects in four categories: one- and two-family custom residences; one- and two-family production homes (no recipients selected this year); multifamily housing; and specialized housing.

The jury for the 2020 AIA Housing Awards comprised chair Emily Roush-Elliott, AIA, of Delta Design Build Workshop in Greenwood, Miss.; Valarie D. Franklin, AIA, of Gresham Smith in Nashville, Tenn.; Michael E. Willis, FAIA, from Oakland, Calif.; Guido Hartray, AIA, of Marvel Architects in New York; and S. Claire Conroy, AIA Allied Member, SOLA Group, Inc. Residential Design magazine in Chicago.
