Bentley Systems Acquires Water Modeling Software to Further Climate Change Mitigation Capabilities

The technology will advance the company's portfolio of tools in flood resilience, reality modeling, and environmental predictive analytics.

Exton, Pa.–based software company Bentley Systems announced its agreement to acquire Lisbon, Portugal–based water modeling software company Action Modulers at its annual Year in Infrastructure conference. Action Modulers offers a variety of digital products, including its Action Flood software that measures flood risk with watershed monitoring systems and predictive modeling. This technology also measures the environmental impact of pollutants and can provide early warning systems.

According to Action Modulers, the platform aims to support clients facing the ongoing challenges associated with climate change, rising sea levels, and the increased incidence of flooding.
