Project Description
The 43rd annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase House was held in a 6,500 square-foot Mediterranean-style home, built in 1926. Each of the home’s 27 rooms was completely transformed by 21 Bay Area interior designers. For the Master Bath Suite, the goal was to create a luxurious spa experience for the soon-to-be homeowner while also bringing in highly specialized finishes and accessories by local artisans and craftspeople.
“The most challenging part of working at the Designer Showcase house is working among 27 other designers and their teams daily. Meanwhile, all the team members also deal with the neighborhood agencies, neighbors, parking, local officials, and strict time constraints. Designers and Builders are given only two months to complete their rooms. Navigating 14 marble slabs off the trucks, into the home, up the stairs, and into the master bath was probably the most nerve-wracking part of the project, but it was executed seamlessly with stunning results”. – Josh Grout
