Project Description
512 Archer is a 1920s-Inspired Craftsman Bungalow, carefully restored & expanded to introduce modern conveniences while maintaining a sense of history. The original home built in 1926 was a 1500 sf bungalow located just outside the historic Houston heights. The scope of the renovation involved a completely gutting the house that was left in poor repair, all new interior and exterior finishes, antique doors and fixtures from the 1920s, adding a 2nd floor, porte-cochere, large covered screened back porch, and a covered carport. Hand-crafted cherry cabinets, oak & walnut trim, honed granite counters, period doors and fixtures create a warm living environment. With over 400 s.f. of covered/screened porches, including an outdoor kitchenette, nature is very much a part of the living experience. Every detail has been meticulously expedited, with an artistic eye. One of the larger, more highly valued homes in a redeveloping neighborhood, it does not outscale its modest neighbors but improves the neighborhood with quality, thoughtful construction.
