Project Description
Situated on a palm oil farm, the chalet is commissioned by the owner for his family to sleep over when they visit over the weekend. Given the topography, the building is elevated from the ground to allow heavy tropical rains to run below undisturbed.
The 2 bedroom chalet hosts an elongated floating pool overlooking the Kwilu river below. Built on a concrete structure which walls are left exposed for low maintenance in this rough environment, the project uses locally manufactured burned bricks from clay found on the farm.
