Project Description
In 2016 Film Streams embarked on a restoration project of Omaha’s last surviving single-screen neighborhood cinema, the historic Dundee Theater. The 91-year old theater, shuttered since 2013, is the second venue operated by the Omaha nonprofit. Completed in the winter of 2017, the project includes a 300-seat theater, supplemental space for programming and community events, a large lobby with a concession stand, Kitchen Table restaurant, a micro-cinema, and improved accessibility from the main entrance off Dodge Street, one of Omaha’s most highly trafficked streets.
