Project Description
Fuse Cambridge adjoins the Alewife Reservation, a unique natural landscape in an urban setting situated near a mass transit hub and along an extensive network of bike and walking paths. The dominant building form bends gently away from the street edge, dramatizing the approach to the building and creating a dynamic entry courtyard. On the park side of the building, “fingers” reach out toward the reservation, while the raised landscaped courtyards in between draw the natural environment into the site. Unique to podium projects of this type, the parking level is divided to create a ground floor lobby and at-grade courtyard that provides dramatic visual connections to the reservation beyond. The project delivers amenities that accommodate modern, active lifestyles and offers the best of city living and access to a unique natural landscape.
