Project Description
The GT corporate project by Torres e Bello Arquitetos and built by Finger Engenharia, is located on a corner lot in the city of Gravataí in the extreme south of Brazil. The batch defined for the project has restricted dimensions, for the requested and required needs program for a vertical party. The party properly inserts the building in its urbanistic and environmental context, as well as solve as functional requirements of the program.
The concept of the initial volume is a square-shaped prism that has been sectioned to the diagonal, and its purpose is to find an area and explore a vision through the treatment of different materials. The architectural gesture resulted in two triangular prismatic volumes generated through the perfect prism, the front volume of reflective glass, coming in counterpoint with the more sober, solid and monolithic volume of the lateral facade.
The 12th floor was marked on the facade by a subtraction that creates a “lookout” that interrupts the proposed volume giving dynamism, movement housing areas of coexistence of the building and exploring the beautiful view of the city.
The strength of the two prisms with triangular base together with a glass surface, make up as elegant and contemporary lines of its volumetry, along with its vertical breezes enhance the verticality of the building.
