Project Description
The Guitar studio consist of 390 sq. ft. Designed to accommodate a multitude of uses including guitar playing, entertaining,reading, passing the night and a place for thoughtful repose. The existing home, required setbacks and large adjacent Pecan tree contained the location of the court that would be selected for the site. The studio offers ease of connectivity to the main house while offering the inhabitants a subtle privacy from the local environment. The studio was clad in a single material, standard standing seam metal roof panels form the V shaped roof while also cladding the exterior walls. The interior offers a rich experience of painted wall surfaces and natural pine plywood to assist in the warmth and acoustic qualities of the space. A small kitchen bar, closet and bathroom make the space versatile for a variety of uses. The counterweighted overhead glass door offers a large opening and ease of connectivity between the studio and the adjacent fire pit courtyard.
