Project Description

The homeowners sought a master en suite design which would provide functional elegance and a spa like feel. We removed the existing original master bath in its entirety, making way for the new design, which brought in texture, a soft color palette and touch screen shower controls with enhanced audio, better lighting and custom cabinetry. The new master bath also includes a zero threshold walk-in shower complete with a frameless, barn door style sliding glass enclosure, multiple jets, rainfall, hand-held and wall-mount shower heads. The shower valves and speakers are touch-screen controlled, satisfying the client’s propensity for technology. A luxurious freestanding soaker tub was installed with floor-mount tub filler. The sleek large format tiles and the custom cabinetry provide a contemporary theme conforming to the rest of the home, which is the goal the homeowner was trying to achieve. Profiling the fixed glass panel along the edge of the waterfall solid surface vanity top allowed for a seamless transition between wet and dry spaces. Due to the large volume of water the multiple shower fixtures are able to produce we added an extra outlet to the linear tile drain. We also added two tank-less water heaters to serve this bathroom, which required a new gas meter; these clients wanted to make sure they never run out of hot water. There is no question that successful projects require thoughtful planning and design, great communication and skilled craftsmanship. We were fortunate to have all those come together on this master bathroom remodel, which enabled us to bring the homeowners vision to fruition.
