Project Description
This penthouse at Silver Strike Lodge was a complete remodel. We ripped the walls down to the studs and inches were gained. We wanted to add in fireplaces and make the spaces feel bigger. We chose a mountainy rustic design and we cleaned it up with straight lines. We changed the ceiling from high pitches with chunky beams to flat and tall. In order to optimize the space, we used a lot of built-in’s which were positioned tight to the wall. This provided significant added storage we needed, as well as allowed for spaces to flow freely. We kept with a walnut wood to create the warm feeling to add the mountain feel. In addition, we used clean lines in flat panels shaker style. We wanted to infuse color, so we have a lot of pops in the art, textured wallcoverings, and with the pillows. We used Walker Zanger tile throughout the majority of the house which really adds that texture, color and pattern we wanted to incorporate. The details in this penthouse are incredible that are hard for even a picture to capture . The client trusted us to be creative with freedom to try interesting concepts. Much of the lighting was custom made and created a warm, special feel within the house. Including Urban electric lighting in the kitchen for custom pendants with a pop of painted blue on the inside.
