Project Description
This is one of the oldest houses in New Canaan, Circa 1700. The principal requirement was the new pool house had to have the same patina as the original house.
The design was influenced by historic barns in Connecticut. By using a similar stone from the original house and “peeling” away the layers to expose the hand-hewn beams, we created an outdoor living room.
The building includes a kitchen, changing room, bathroom and small art studio.
