Project Description
The tower of this building marks the community’s commercial center, making a strong urban connection while creating unlimited vistas to the surrounding area from within. The residences are developed with floor-to-ceiling glass with clear aluminum framing and inset balconies to extend their views while mediating their exposure. Set back from the street, the lobby provides a strong identity while using materials such as granite, maple and slate to provide warmth and durability.
The upper volume of the building is offset from the parking floors below by a band of backlit, translucent glazing and metal, while masonry panels that evoke the material and color of the neighboring buildings screen the lower volume. Further enhancing the local context, the entry and adjacent commercial space align with the neighboring mercantile frontages with an arcade that extends along the street to provide shelter for passing pedestrians.
