Project Description

The project started as 3 identical residences planned for crowded family members to live together with a Traditional Turkish House plan. The houses were designed to include a guest room so as to host guests comfortably besides members of a large family. The house plans were prepared in such a way so that all rooms on the floors face the gallery in the center which has a glass dome over it. The glass dome over the circulation area allows the sunlight to shine on the entire vestibule. The double-return stairs encircling the circulation area fills the whole gallery space and the 6 meter long chandelier hanging from the dome illuminates the whole area. There are bay windows in each room which constitute a feature of the Turkish architecture. Traditional Turkish architectural motifs can be found on the ceilings and walls in all rooms and in the vestibule. The houses are located on a land of approximately 3700 m², has a building coverage area of 300 m², a total area of 960 m² and they consist of 3 living rooms, 8 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 4 bathrooms and toilets, 1 prayer room, 1 washroom, 1 sauna and Turkish bath, 1 laundry room, 1 store room and a terrace. Each house has an outdoor swimming pool and a hydro message pool in the garden. There is a cozy sitting area with a fireplace in the Winter Garden next to the pool. Apart from the houses’ private gardens, there is a larger garden and landscape for common use of the three residences. There is a long walking track and a separate winter garden which can accomodate approximately 20 people in this larger garden.
