B-K Lighting has acquired the operating assets of New Haven, Conn.-based ABS Lighting, one of the oldest manufacturers of outdoor control beam and roadway lighting. The move provides B-K Lighting, located in Madera, Calif., with a portfolio of fixtures to complement its existing cadre of architectural outdoor landscape lighting products.

ABS Lighting is known for its large-scale precision controlled beam floodlights and roadway lighting that features optical versatility. “We are extremely excited to become part of B-K Lighting, the innovation leader in our industry. Through this acquisition, a unique strategic opportunity has been created by combining ABS Lighting’s multiple years of expertise and unparalleled content with B-K Lighting’s extensive manufacturing and product development capabilities,” said Tony Amenta, vice president and general manager of ABS Lighting in a prepared statement.

In addition to expanding B-K Lighting’s total suite of product offerings, the acquisition will also ensure growth for both companies. “Lighting professionals in our industry and many other organizations will benefit greatly from the continued offering of ABS Lighting products, combined with B-K Lighting’s experienced manufacturing practices and sales distribution network,” said Nathan Sloan, president of B-K Lighting in a press statement.
