The Alliance to Save Energy (Alliance) has elected six new individuals to its Board of Directors. The Alliance is a coalition of prominent business, government, environmental and consumer leaders who promote the efficient and clean use of energy worldwide to benefit consumers, the environment, economy and national security.
The newly elected Board of Directors members are:

James Madej, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Customer Energy Solutions, National Grid
•
Greg Merritt, Vice President of Marketing and Public Affairs, Cree
•
John B. Rhodes, President and CEO, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)
•
Curt Rich, President and CEO, North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA)
•
William Sisson, Director of Sustainability, United Technologies Corporation
•
Cathy Snyder, Vice President of Energy and Environment Government Relations, Lockheed Martin
“The Alliance Board has long been recognized for the wide scope of perspectives offered by its Directors, and the new group is a testament to this diversity,” Kateri Callahan, president of the Alliance, said. “I look forward to the fresh ideas they will bring to the table in support of the Alliance’s mission to advance energy efficiency.”
Regarding his appointment Merritt said, “Through my work at Cree to promote the widespread adoption of LED lighting, I have seen first-hand the economic and social value of saving energy. I look forward to working with other industries on the Alliance Board to help all businesses and individuals reap the benefits of efficiency.”
