Aquatherm’s Climatherm polypropylene-random (PP-R) piping system is a fully recyclable option for geothermal applications, as well as all HVAC and radiant applications. The Climatherm components are made from over 98.5% pure-random polypropylene, and use a simple heat fusion connection that eliminates toxic materials, glues, and resins, as well as open flames, from the piping installation process. The material has an R-value of 1 to 1.5 depending on pipe size and standard dimension ratio. A faser-composite layer in the pipe reduces linear expansion by up to 75% compared to plastic piping, ensuing that the system can withstand high operating temperatures, and the layer also reduces contraction in cold temperatures. Pipe dimension range from 3/8” to 24”.
